How can we help?
Interactive services
Prefer to talk online?
Our online services are perfect for those who don’t want to talk face-to-face or on the phone. They’re easy to use, whether you want to join the discussion, read through the postings on our forums or come to one of our Live Chat sessions.
Discussion forums
Our discussion forums are available 24 hours a day and offer a chance to exchange information and connect with people who share similar experiences.
With more than 12,000 registered users, a new message is posted on our forums every three minutes, making them the most widely used online breast cancer community in the UK.
Live Chat
Our Live Chat sessions are virtual support groups that take place weekly on our website. Hosted by professionals, each hour-long session offers a private and safe place where anyone affected by breast cancer can talk in depth about issues that are important to them. If a general chat session isn’t for you, you can join one of the specialist sessions we set up from time to time for people in similar circumstances. These virtual support groups are all facilitated by one of our nurses.
General breast cancer discussion: join us weekly 9-10pm on Thursdays. This session is for anyone with a diagnosis of breast cancer.
Secondary breast cancer discussion: join us weekly 8.30-9.30pm on Tuesdays. This session is only open to people with a diagnosis of secondary breast cancer, that is when the cancer has spread to another part of the body. Anyone who doesn’t have secondary breast cancer will be asked to leave the session by the facilitators.
If you are not sure if this session is right for you please email moderator@breastcancercare.org.uk
