This week, thousands of people will need us. Decades from now, it could be many more people who’ll need us. By leaving a gift to Breast Cancer Care in your Will, you can help us be there for anyone affected by breast cancer in years to come.
‘It was scary when I finished treatment – suddenly there was no one looking after me. Talking to someone who’d been in a similar situation gave me hope. I knew that one day I would feel better instead of feeling devastated and raging inside.’
The need for support and information does not end when treatment is finished. Some people find this is when they need us most: when the doctors, nurses and appointments are gone and they feel as though they have been left to cope alone. When that happens, we can offer the support and information to help people get through one of the hardest times.
By leaving a gift in your Will, you can be there for people like Gillian whenever they need us.
With more and more people surviving breast cancer, more people are also living with the distress caused by this life-threatening disease. Your gift means we can be there for people so no one has to face breast cancer alone. And for their families as well – their husbands and wives, sons, daughters, and friends.
Your gift could help someone share their worries, perhaps by speaking to a trained volunteer or having their questions answered by the experienced nurses and specially trained staff on our Helpline. It may also help to ensure we always have specialist nurses who can provide up-to-date information on all the latest developments. Above all, your gift can ensure that as long as people are affected by breast cancer, they can have access to the help and support that’s right for them.
Your loved ones
You will, of course, want to ensure your loved ones are taken care of in your Will. But after you have provided for them, leaving a percentage of what's left over to Breast Cancer Care is a wonderful way to help take care of others who will also need care and support in the future.
By discussing your intentions with your loved one, they will understand that leaving a gift in your Will is something that's important to you. They may feel proud of your decision, as many families do.
By choosing to leave even a small percentage, the amount you want to give to your loved ones will always be protected.
Your next steps
