The EMPLOY Charter - Information for employers (BCC168)

This booklet explains the best practice guidance set out in the EMPLOYCharter. It aims to help employers understand the needs of an employee diagnosed with breast cancer and contains sources of further information and support for both employees and employers.

Please note

The Disability Discrimination Act (DDA) referred to in Breast Cancer Care’s EMPLOY Charter has been replaced by the Equality Act 2010, which came into force in October 2010.

For more information on the Equality Act 2010, please go to the website of the Equality and Human Rights Commission and see the information provided by Macmillan Cancer Support
