Bisphosphonates (BCC94)
Bisphosphonates are a group of drugs used to treat secondary breast cancer in the bone. They are also commonly used to treat or prevent osteoporosis, which literally means ‘porous bones’. Osteoporosis causes bones to thin, making breaks (fractures) more likely. It sometimes causes bone pain.
