Getting fitter, feeling stronger DVD (exercises after surgery) (including leaflet) (BCC190)
This DVD features exercise programmes for people who have had treatment for breast cancer. The programmes aim to help you regain arm and shoulder movement after surgery and/or radiotherapy, and improve your overall fitness.
In part one, the arm and shoulder workout, clinical lead oncology physiotherapist Lisa Wright demonstrates exercises for the different stages of your recovery from breast surgery, starting from the second day after your operation. These exercises are also summarised on the illustrated leaflet included with the DVD; the leaflet is also available to order or download separately.
In part two, cancer rehabilitation specialist Anna Campbell leads you through the fitness class, which is suitable for people at 12 weeks after surgery and beyond. The class aims to help you increase your fitness and improve your overall health and wellbeing.
This film is in English and has options of Punjabi, Sylheti, Urdu, Cantonese and Arabic voice-overs, English or Welsh subtitles and British Sign Language.
